St Joseph’s Convent Sen Sec School, Bathinda, greets all of you, the readers. Today my heart swells with gratitude for the great man of God, the founder of Bethany and prophet of our times, Msgr R F C Mascarenhas, whose vision and mission brought St Joseph’s, Bathinda into existence.

St Joseph’s aims at ‘Fullness of life for all’ especially the girl child, the poor and the marginalized through its multifarious activities and value based education. The school always strives to stay on the cutting edge of a new and sound educational programme, with a strong support of dedicated and well qualified teaching faculty, co-workers, students and parents committed to excellence. I hope to see our students realize in their lives what Dr APJ Abdul Kalam says, “We are all born with a Divine fire in us. Our efforts should be to give wings to this fire in us and fill the world with the glow of its goodness.”

3RD POSITION IN 10 KM RACE IN HALF MARATHON

Mrs. Navdeep Kaur Dhaliwal secured 3rd position in the 10 km race in the 46–55 age category at the BM Education Bathinda Half Marathon, held at Reliance Mall, Bathinda on 15th March, 2026.

A MEDAL AND A CERTIFICATE AT BATHINDA HALF MARATHON

Mancharan Singh Gill(4-B) received a medal and a certificate at BM Education Bathinda Half Marathon.

KALA SHREE AWARD 2026

Mr. Banmeet Singh has been honoured with the Kala Shree Award 2026 by Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo, during the Gyan Jyot Honour Ceremony held on 14 March 2026. He has received this prestigious award in recognition of his outstanding contribution and dedicated service in the field of Art Education, inspiring creativity and nurturing artistic talent.

Mayra Mangla (5-B) bagged 2nd position in Interschool Scholarship Test.

MERIT HOLDERS OF SOF IEO (2025- 26) LEVEL 1

“Language strengthens each time it is read deeply, written carefully, and spoken with intent.” The school takes immense pride in acknowledging thewinners of the English Olympiad, whose achievement reflects a sustained and thoughtful engagement with the English language.The competition demands more than vocabulary or grammatical accuracy; it calls for clarity of thought, the ability to interpret and express ideas with purpose. Through consistent practice and steady refinement of their language skills, the winners have demonstrated proficiency in English that sets them apart. As these young minds continue their journey of learning and self-discovery, their accomplishment in the English Olympiad serves as an inspiration to their peers and a proud milestone in the school’s legacy.

LITERARY ACHIEVEMENT

Two poems by Ms. Ashu Garg, English teacher at St. Joseph’s Convent School, have been published in the international anthology Rangamati: The Red Earth Dialogue.Sharing her thoughts, she says, “Writing is a quiet conversation with the world.”The school congratulates her on this proud achievement.

OUSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN 'TALLENTEX-2026'

Allen Career Institute Bathinda organised 'Tallentex-2026' on 17th January 2026. OUR NCC CADETS PARTICIPATED IN REPUBLIC DAY PARADE

The NCC cadets of our school participated in the Republic Day District Level Parade held at Sports Stadium, Bathinda, on 26th January, 2025. The following students were awarded badges of appreciation for their dedicated service, discipline, and devotion to duty: Gurtaj Singh, Ajayveer Singh, Taranveer Singh, Ruhaniyat Kaur, Aatamjot Kaur, Taranjot Kaur, Jashandeep Kaur, Divjotveer Singh, and Unik Bindal.

LAURELS AT 68TH NATIONAL SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITIONS

Pritham Teshwar Singh Dhillon (IX-F) participated in 68th National Shooting Championship Competitions held at New Delhi from 11 December 2025 to 4 January 2026. He qualified in the following events- 25 m Sports Pistol Youth Men National Championship and 50 m Pistol Junior Men Civilian Championship. He was further certified as a 'Renowned Shot' in terms of Government of India. This implies that he is eligible to participate in the selection of Indian Team of Shooting.
